Happy weekend!

Happppy happy Friday! It's the end of the week!! Not to mention that it's Halloween in a couple of days. What are your plans? Today we bring you a couple of Halloween inspired weddings and an awesome rehearsal dinner...
<<
Don't you love the splash of orange from the pumpkins and flowers? I love how it's very fall inspired and not too "halloweeny." ;)
<<
This wedding is called "A Very Vintage Halloween Wedding" and I am loving the sophisticated color palette throughout the whole wedding.
<<
I love love love this playful rehearsal dinner. What better way to put your bridal party at ease and just have fun and celebrate?

I hope you loved these weddings as much as I did...why don't you...
<<'

"That's How You Know" from Disney's ENCHANTED (Full Clip)

Hello~
Tonight, I watched the movie 'Enchanted' and it really made me think about love and relationships. And isn't life (especially weddings) about love and relationships?? hehe Well, it reminded me that people sometimes forget to say how they feel about each other, and how those little things can mean so much! None of us are mind readers, and we all have to be reminded sometimes (and some more often than others), so make sure you show your loved ones you care! Or else, how does she know you love her?

Girly Goodness

Today we bring you beautiful, frilly, girly goodness...in the form of wedding dresses!
One of my favorite etsy shops...Sarah Seven I am absolutely in love with her dresses...the day I saw these dresses I immediately knew I would use one of her dreamy dresses for my own wedding. Don't you love the mustard pencil skirt with the bow at the waist? How cute would it be for your bridesmaids to wear. :)

For the Project Runway fans...remember Leanne Marshall the winner from season 5? She started a eco-friendly bridal collection that stays true to the Leanne that we saw in the show using wave-like architectural structures. She was always one of my favorites but with this collection she definitely became my all-time favorite.
Last but not least...how can we not include the fabulous Vera Wang? Her bridal collection is the epitome of girly goodness...tons of tulle, bows, elegant draping and sillhouettes. Oh and guess what? Vera Wang has teamed up with David's Bridal to create a affordable yet still beautiful collection next year! You could be wearing a Vera Wang dress down the aisle. ;)

Sigh seeing all these wedding dresses makes me want to slip on a white dress with layers and layers of tulle and even a sparkly tiara! =) Have a wonderful Monday!

All about L O V E

Goood afternoon everybody! Sorry for the lack of posts it's been busy here at Dusty Rose...but here are the engagement pictures I promised you about a week ago. Hope you enjoy!
Isn't the group shot so cute? The whole family was a delight to work with! I felt so much warmth and love in that room. :)
Location: JJ Grand Hotel, Los Angeles
Floral: Dusty Rose Events
Cake: Manna Bakery

Here is a little preview from the wedding last Saturday. Don't you love the adorable cake toppers made by one of the bridesmaids? Aww I just love all the work involved behind a wedding, no matter how big or small the task is. Just shows the love for the happy couple. =)
<<
I'm loving the sunshine after all the gloom and rain...don't you love the photograph via Candace Filip's flickr? It makes me want to stroll down a path with beautiful and inspiring scenery with a camera and click away while wearing a vintage floral dress. ;) Have a great day everybody!!

A pop of color

Gooood afternoon! So today we bring you a few photos from the engagement party last Saturday.
Don't you love the pop of fuchsia from the dress as well as the matching tie on the bride and groom-to-be's? =] If you choose your florals to have very pale colors, why not wear a bold color such as the beautiful dress Esther wore? The matching tie was way too cute. More pictures of the centerpieces to come later!

Anne

ranunculus party

Hello everyone!! Sorry for the lack of posts...we had a wedding rehearsal dinner and engagement party in a week so Dusty Rose has been pretty busy. :] Stay tuned for photos by Jonathan Visitisomboon of the engagement party that we did the centerpieces for. Meanwhile...
(excuse my disheveled appearance...it was way too early in the morning ^ ^)
oh the flower mart...right when you step in you see other floral lovers sipping coffee and strolling along to view (and smell!) the amazing flowers...I didn't have much time to get coffee and roam around but I did pick up a bunch of hydrangeas, roses, and ranunculus. Working with ranunculus for the first time...wow they have captured my heart..my last purchase of the day and right when I saw it...it was a ah-hah! moment for me. =)

Why don't you try incorporating them into your bouquet, as centerpieces, or adding whimsy to your windows like the picture captured by Trista Watson? ;)

Have a super Wednesday!!

Pom poms, flowers, candy and girrafes galore

Happy weekend everybody!

What is everybody doing this weekend? It is my friend's birthday and I wanted to say Esther HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!~ I hope God blesses you greatly greatly this year and your life will certainly change this special year. =)

I don't know about everywhere else but in the OC area, there were continuous rounds of thunder and a sudden burst of rain...more of a downpour. Aside from the mysterious weather, I have fun pictures to share with you today. A few months ago I had the privilege of decorating for one of my closest friends baby shower along with other friends. We decided to keep it simple with clean white, baby blue, pastel green and navy blue.
with the beautiful mom =)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Love,
Anne
